2019 Progressive® Insurance Kansas City Boat & Sportshow® drops anchor at Bartle Hall Jan. 10-13, celebrating 65 years of life on the water

Region’s largest boat & sportshow features more than 300 boats for sale, hundreds of outdoor gear options and entertainment for all ages

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 12) — Whether a novice boater or experienced captain, fishing pro or young angler looking to get their feet wet, there’s no better place to ring in the New Year than at the 2019 Progressive® Insurance Kansas City Boat & Sportshow®, held at Bartle Hall Jan. 10-13. 

Celebrating 65 years as the region’s largest boating and outdoors event, the 2019 Progressive® Insurance Kansas City Boat & Sportshow® features more than 300 new boats to board and buy, from fishing boats, pontoons and watersport boats to luxury vessels, plus hundreds of outdoor gear options and marine accessories. The show also offers a variety of hands-on activities that will thrill even the youngest outdoor enthusiast.

“This year’s show is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet,” said Becca Doyle, show manager. “Whether you’re in the market for a new boat or simply looking to escape cabin fever for some family fun, the show has something for everyone.”

Throughout the four-day event, the Progressive® Insurance Kansas City Boat & Sportshow® features a variety of live entertainment, including:

  • The 5,000-gallon Hawg Trough – a fully stocked fishing demo tank, with daily, free seminars from pro anglers.
  • Willow Creek Trout Pond, where little ones can practice their angling skills for free, reeling in live trout.
  • The famous DockDogs® competition returns to the boat and sportshow, where water-loving canines compete in notoriously fun, splash-friendly challenges.
  • New! Progressive® Boat Club, in partnership with the Annapolis School of Seamanship, featuring educational seminars, a virtual boating simulator and remote control pond to help sharpen boating skills.
  • KC Food Truck Mafia, serving up tasty, unique fare inside of Bartle Hall. Trucks on-site include: Monk's, KC BBQ, and Roadkill Cafe.

The show takes place at Bartle Hall:

  • Thursday, Jan. 10, 2-9 p.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 11, Noon-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 12, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
